About the Role

We are looking for a Platform Delivery & Performance Lead to lead the cross-functional capabilities that ensure our platforms are delivered effectively, operated sustainably, financially managed, adopted successfully, and continuously improved.
The role leads Service Management, FinOps, and Delivery Leads across the department and provides a consistent view of platform progress, performance, value, cost, risks, and outcomes.
A core part of the mandate is to create transparency, accountability, and strong governance across the platform portfolio by defining meaningful measures, tracking commitments and outcomes, identifying where performance is off track, and ensuring that corrective actions, control requirements, compliance obligations, and assurance activities are clearly owned and consistently followed through.

Responsibilities

Platform Performance and Delivery Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team of Service Managers, FinOps specialists, and data engineers, and delivery Leads, setting clear objectives, standards, and expectations.
- Establish a common performance framework across the platform portfolio, measuring delivery progress, platform adoption, service quality, cost, risk, operational maturity, and value.
- Create transparent, decision-oriented reporting that highlights performance against commitments, key risks, dependencies, and required actions.
- Hold platform teams accountable for measurable outcomes by identifying gaps early, challenging underperformance, and ensuring corrective actions are clearly owned and followed through.
Provide oversight across major delivery commitments, improve predictability, and make deviations from plan visible early.
Support recovery actions where delivery is off track and ensure reporting focuses on outcomes and value delivered, not only completion of activity.

Service Management & FinOps:
- Lead Service Management and FinOps capabilities across the department, ensuring clear service definitions, operating models, service levels, cost transparency, and financial accountability.
- Oversee cloud and platform cost allocation, show back, chargeback, forecasting, contracts, commitments, and optimization opportunities.
Track service reliability for all services and platforms we build. The service is defined by us in terms of what we want to track: Azure, Alibaba from a vendor perspective; Stratum, ASB, CI/CD platform etc. from an internal commitment and SLA point of view.
- Observe operational maturity, stakeholder satisfaction, cost performance, and improvement actions across the platform portfolio.
- Drive consistent, pragmatic, and continuously improving service and financial management practices while maintaining appropriate governance and control.

Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder Management:
- Ensure that governance framework is applied consistently across all the platform teams, ensure all standards are followed and complied with, support in effective decision making, artifact completion and process compliance.
- Coordinate recurring governance and assurance activities with central Governance, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Audit teams, including SOC reviews, recertifications, financial reviews, control assessments, and audit requirements.
- Maintain transparent oversight of governance obligations, control gaps, remediation actions, risks, and upcoming milestones, escalating material issues where required.
