About the Role
As an Analytics Lab Architect, you will be responsible for designing and leading engineering of a capability, which enables Risk Consulting Analysts to perform their job function. This includes self-managed project environments for data analysis and data science use cases, which allows collaboration with appropriate data access controls, as well as integration with a Data Lake, Data catalog, a client facing portal, and a number of other systems used by our solutions to deliver services to its clients.
You will be working with the regional Risk Consulting Leads to understand requirements of their function, translating those requirements into implementation ready architecture, and orchestrating development of the technical capability.
This role will report to Analytics Lab Lead.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Risk Consulting to understand their functional needs, and translate them into technical designs.
- Lead technical development of the Analytics Lab.
- Continuously collect feedback and monitor usage of the capability to adapt it to the needs of the users.
- Ensure alignment with data analytics standards and security requirements.
- Assess and pragmatically adopt latest technologies where they contribute to enhancing the service.
Requirements
You enjoy the challenge of working closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other data professionals, enabling them with tools and technology, while balancing diverse requirements with the need for standardisation and operational optimisation.
- Experience supporting data analytics and data science professionals with tailored solutions based on Azure data analytics services.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Azure services, including data analytics and data science tools, e.g. PowerBI, Azure Machine Learning, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and others.
- Strong experience in building and deploying Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions on Azure.
- Experience providing architectural leadership to a team of software engineers.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
- Experienced working in multicultural globally distributed teams.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, who can manage their own workload.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a clear and articulate standard of written and verbal communication in complex environments.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a big plus.
- Knowledge of Insurance Domain or Financial Industry is a plus.
