About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and independent Technical Project Lead.
Responsibilities
- Delivery ownership (technical): Define/validate the solution approach, assumptions, and constraints, keeping the solution aligned with scope, budget, and milestones
- Orchestrate other technical leads: Coordinate other technical leads who are responsible for dedicated parts of the project (mainly in the area of IBL’s software development, hardware installation, and support), and resolve cross-team dependencies and sequencing
- Customer-facing leadership: Run technical workshops and calls, design reviews, and UAT/SIAT/SAT readiness meetings
- Change request analysis (CRs): Triage, impact (scope/effort/cost/risk), options with pros/cons, produce CR write-ups for PM’s sign-off
- Planning & governance: With the PM, build the integrated technical plan and acceptance criteria documents (FAT/SAT/UAT/SIAT)
- Quality & readiness: Gate reviews, design sign-offs, test strategy alignment, performance/security/NFRs coverage
- Risk & issue management: Predictive risk identification, mitigation plans, and executive-ready status with clear asks/decisions
- Documentation & handover: Architecture/high-level/low-level design documents, technical product documentation, handoff to Support with KPIs and SLAs (if any), deployment runbooks (if needed)
- PM back-up: Step in to run project meetings, stand-ups, and customer and vendor coordination during the PM's absence
- Field/hardware coordination (if applicable): Staging, site readiness, BoM accuracy, logistics
Requirements
- Experience: 6–10+ years in technical delivery (systems/software/hardware), including 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary customer projects.
- Delivery methods: Comfortable with hybrid PM methodology (Agile/Waterfall combination), knows when to tighten or loosen process.
- Breadth of tech: Solid working knowledge across several areas: Linux/Windows, networking (L2/L3, VPNs), security basics, containers, databases, APIs/integration, hardware field deployments, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Change & scope control: Hands-on with CR impacting, and SOW alignment (if applicable)
- Stakeholder skills: Clear communicator, translates technical decisions to business impact
- Tools: Proficient with Jira/Confluence, diagramming (Visio/Draw.io/Lucid),
- Documentation: Can produce consumable HLD/LLD, test strategies, runbooks, and as-builts.
- PM back-up competence: Able to run schedules, risks, vendor management, resource plans, and steer-cos when PM is absent.
- Travel & on-site work: Willing to travel for key workshops, pilots, or cutovers (as needed).
