About the Role
We are looking for experienced Cost And Value Engineer.
Responsibilities
- As a Cost and Value Engineer (CVE), you will be responsible for analysing transparency of cost and value drivers as well as GHG emissions along the entire value chain by applying state-of-the-art CVE methodologies and responsible for creating optimisations using a value engineering approach.
- Your responsibilities include target costing and pricing by means of benchmarks and should-costing as an expert in mechanical components and their manufacturing processes.
- Furthermore, you will advise on optimizations via design-to-value and standardization and advise suppliers with value stream analysis.
- Also you will support the purchasing departments in cost plausibility checks, cost models and negotiations with suppliers.
- You will act as an independent project manager for CVE projects in the divisions and carry them out together with the necessary internal and external workshops and sprints with stakeholders from purchasing, development, product management or engineering.
- In addition, you will act as CVE's representative and ambassador within the company.
Requirements
- The basis of your success is a master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Based on this, you have several years of professional experience in cost and value engineering, development, purchasing, production planning, etc.
- The ability to combine technical expertise with commercial aspects and sustainability aspects is what sets you apart.
- With the common MS Office applications and a product cost management tool such as TCPCM you can handle it safely.
- In addition, you score points with strong project management skills and your enthusiasm for initiating and executing projects for cost optimization
- Intercultural experience as well as very good presentation and communication skills English round off your profile.
