About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Architect to lead the modernization of our core batch and transaction processing environment within Asset Management. This critical function ensures accurate and timely end-of-day processing, supporting downstream systems and reporting.
You will take ownership of the batch landscape—balancing deep technical knowledge with strategic architecture thinking. Your focus will include simplifying processes, improving performance and resilience, and aligning with business SLAs. The role involves close collaboration across technology, operations, and infrastructure teams to design scalable solutions that work across both legacy and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve the transaction processing layer across systems and asset classes
- Support legacy and cloud-native workflows in a hybrid architecture
- Optimize batch performance, reduce processing windows, and increase operational stability
- Map system dependencies and align flows with SLA commitments
- Lead technical discussions and support implementation of key changes
- Present architecture proposals to leadership and support strategic prioritization
Requirements
- 5+ years in technical or architectural roles with batch systems (UC4 knowledge preferred)
- Experience designing hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures
- Familiarity with event-driven or microbatching approaches
- Strong data flow understanding and SLA alignment
- Effective communicator with a strategic mindset
Nice to Have Skills
- Domain knowledge in asset management or capital markets is a plus
- SQL or Python experience is a bonus
