In close collaboration with our business peers and surrounding tech teams we act in true start-up fashion – innovative and cross-functional.
Responsibilities
In this role you would have the outstanding possibility to work on some of the most exciting engineering challenges the industry can offer. You craft and implement reliable, highly parallelized applications hosted on Azure, our public cloud hosting platform of choice.
In close collaboration with natural catastrophe experts, you lead the implementation and testing of our core applications.
Numerous challenges make this work exciting. High availability and extreme scaling requirements are equally important as quality and security aspects.

Developer:
You have a wealth of experience in building public cloud applications in Java
Spring is mandatory
Experience with Azure cloud, but any other public cloud is welcome
Understanding of the implications and the trade-offs of different solutions with regards to performance, reliability, availability and security
Strong problem-solving and collaborative mindset
Lead:
You have a wealth of experience in a lead position, in-charge of building public cloud applications, preferably in Java

Nice to Have Skills
Experience in high performance / parallel computing (HPC). GPU programming as a plus
