About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Actuary/Senior Life Actuarial Modeling Specialist.
Responsibilities
-Perform life model validations for key products and portfolios across global markets.
-Contribute to software development efforts to expand and improve in-house validation tooling, including new features, testing frameworks, and automation.
-Design, execute, and maintain validation tests, benchmarks, and reproducible workflows that scale with business needs.
-Collaborate with Risk and Group Actuarial to ensure robust governance, documentation, and transparent communication of findings.
-Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders and senior management.
-Promote best practices in model risk management, validation standards, and code quality (including testing, version control, and CI/CD).
-Mentor junior actuaries and foster knowledge sharing within the team and broader organization.
Requirements
-Advanced degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field
-Experience in a life insurance company (reserving, pricing, capital management, etc.)
-Prior involvement in model development, validation or audit
-7+ years of experience with life insurance actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, RAFM/MoSes, AXIS, or similar)
-Strong understanding of model development and model risk management principles and best practices
-Proficient in programming languages used in actuarial modeling (Python preferred, VBA, R)
-Familiarity with IFRS17, SST and/or Solvency II frameworks
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
-Results-oriented and reliable
-Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
-Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
