Responsibilities
Drive innovation by leading the development of new business application functionalities from concept to delivery
Analyse and understand business processes by gathering and documenting requirements using a variety of proven techniques
Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional specifications that guide engineering teams
Validate solution designs against requirements through appropriate testing methodologies, ensuring quality at every stage
Create and maintain user-facing business documentation that is accurate, accessible, and up to date
Collaborate closely with data engineers to support end-to-end solution development and delivery
Contribute to operational stability by designing robust data quality checks and system health monitoring
Test management through creating, fostering/maintaining test cases/suites and supporting user testing incl. manual test execution by the role
Champion continuous improvement by fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and innovation within the team
Requirements
3+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in a software development and delivery environment
Strong data modelling expertise, including hands-on experience with logical and physical data structures, relational database concepts, and collaboration with data engineering teams to define and validate requirements
Proven SQL/pyspark skills to understand and apply for data analysis, validation, and prototyping, with the ability to independently explore and interrogate datasets
Proven experience in testing, including defining and executing functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; skilled in designing test scenarios and supporting automated test processes
Excellent documentation skills, with a track record of clearly articulating business processes, data flows, and technical specifications for both business and IT audiences
Nice to Have Skills
Exposure to Palantir Foundry (Python, or PySpark)
Experience working in agile/DevOps environments with familiarity of sprint-based delivery models
Strong conceptual and abstract thinking skills with a keen eye for identifying dependencies, risks, and cross-system impacts
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently bridge Finance and IT stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, driving tasks to completion both independently and collaboratively in a global team setting
