Our client is a provider of IT solutions, systems, hardware and software services in banking sector. It operates data centres, bank systems, POS terminals and HW (servers and PC) and is responsible for development, implementation, support and servicing of banking software and its operations in Central and Eastern Europe.

About the Role

- We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Oracle Database platform experience to support reliable, secure, and scalable database services.
- In this role, you will work across database administration, platform operations, and reliability engineering. You will help improve automation, monitoring, incident response, and operational practices for mission-critical Oracle database environments.

Responsibilities

- Administer Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Support database configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, security, access management, and compliance-related activities.
- Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
- Create and maintain scripts and automation for operational and administration tasks.
- Contribute to monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and operational visibility for Oracle database platforms.
- Collaborate with database, platform, and application teams to improve reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

- Active experience in recent 2-4 years of administering Oracle databases or supporting enterprise database platforms in production environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database operations.
- Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Oracle technologies such as RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, database resilience, database security, access controls, and auditing.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
- Basic Linux or Unix administration knowledge and familiarity with infrastructure, storage, and networking fundamentals.
- Preferred: experience with Oracle Exadata, Oracle Multitenant, OCI, AWS, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, or database migration and modernization initiatives.
