About the Role
For our client we are looking for experienced Test Automation Engineer with at least communicative (ideally fluent) German language
Responsibilities
- Work either in a team or independently
- Responsibility for all aspects of analysis, test design, and creation of test scenarios for automated tests
- Execution and monitoring of automated test results (script integration and continuous integration support)
- Creation/maintenance/error handling related to automated testing
- Preparation of test data required for automated testing
- Documentation and reporting of automated testing results
- Defining and reporting identified defects
- Close collaboration with the internal development team
- Supporting the client/developers in resolving identified defects
Requirements
- Practical experience with automated application testing (approximately 2 years)
- Practical experience with application testing
- Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and meet deadlines
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with automation tools used in testing (Selenium, Tosca, etc.)
- Knowledge of at least one programming language is an advantage (Java, JavaScript, Python, …)
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of various testing methods, techniques, and processes
- Experience with tools for managing and executing test scenarios/tickets (e.g., Jira)
- Basic knowledge of SQL/API testing is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Result-oriented mindset (proactive problem solving)
- Good communication skills/experience
- Teamwork – ability to interpret team outputs and collaborate effectively
- Good command of the German language, as the interview will be conducted in German
Nice to Have Skills
- Knowledge of agile development (SCRUM, LEAN, KANBAN)
- Knowledge and use of AI/ChatGPT in testing
