Responsibilities
As a Lead Java Application Engineer within our Database as a Service squad, you'll spearhead the development of intelligent self-service solutions for database users while providing technical leadership for future development initiatives. Your expertise will shape how our users interact with database services, making complex database operations accessible and efficient.
Requirements
Strong Java expertise including Spring, Spring Boot, and related libraries
RESTful API development experience and implementation knowledge
Automated testing skills with unit and integration testing frameworks
Technical proficiency with Git, Maven, OpenAPI, and Docker
CI/CD pipeline experience and Java best practices implementation
Problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset
Collaborative approach to working across cultures and geographies
English language proficiency for effective communication
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Postgres and Oracle databases
Java and/or Microsoft Azure certifications
Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies
Interest in machine learning and statistical modeling
Strong customer orientation with ability to anticipate needs
Flexible approach to hybrid working arrangements
