About the Role
For our client we are looking for System & Service Delivery Engineer, who will be responsible for successful delivery, installation and configuration of our clients own products to the clients in Peru, Kenya or Indonesia.
Responsibilities
• Responsibility for delivery and implementation of biometric product to our international clients
• Preparation, installation and configuration, setting up functioning infrastructure, administration (Linux, Windows, installer, monitoring, logs, notifications, remote management)
• On-site and remote support of key customers
• Monitoring of existing systems
• Cooperation on creation and improvement of rules and procedures of effective administration of environments on which our products are running
• Cooperation with colleagues from the team (consulting and engineering)
• Depending on the needs of our clients also training in the area of product administration
• Travelling will be a considerable part of the work (circa 30-40%)
Requirements
• At least 5 years’ experience with administration of server applications
• Experience with Linux server administration is a must, some experience with Windows servers is a plus
• Knowledge of remote monitoring and administration tools (ELK, Zabbix,..)
• Knowledge of some of the automation deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, ...)
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Bash, ...)
• Basic knowledge of administration and use of database technologies (for example Oracle DB, MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of networks and network technologies (IPv4, routing, switching, security, VPN ...)
• Responsible, independent and proactive approach to work
• Analytical approach to resolving complex and abrupt issues and ability to understandably communicate the situation and solution to the problem
• Willingness to travel all around the world
• Team player with the ability to share knowledge and cooperate with colleagues
• Active English language
• English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Nice to Have Skills
• GIT, or similar SCM tool (SVN, Mercurial,...) is a plus
• Knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus
• Basic experience with programming in Java or C++ is a plus
