About the Client
Our client is a provider of IT solutions, systems, hardware and software services in banking sector. It operates data centres, bank systems, POS terminals and HW (servers and PC) and is responsible for development, implementation, support and servicing of banking software and its operations in Central and Eastern Europe.
About the Role
For our client we are looking for 3rd Level Technical Support with cloud engineering skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and investigate incidents on technical level in cloud and on premise infrastructure
- Support developers in infrastructure architecture topics
- Read and analyse logs (Apache, Tomcat, custom) and correlate information in several logs using tools such as Kibana
- Support in setting up and maintaining monitoring of applications (Kibana, Prometheus, File Beats and more)
- See the “big picture” of the whole solution to be able to determine root causes
- Support in performance testing and analyse results to suggest software and infrastructure optimisation
- Do on call support rotation (1 week on call in 5 to 6 weeks)
- Create and maintain operational documentation.
- Support in the ongoing initiative to migrate on premise infrastructure to public cloud
- Optionally travel to support customers on-site in neighboring countries (once every two months)
Requirements
- Experienced Linux user
- Understand Java Application servers / Standalone Java basic configuration
- Understand HTTP/HTTPS, RESTFul API (JSON)
- Understand Messaging services/Concepts (MQ or AQ or JMS)
- Experience with any of Elastic Search, Kafka, Cassandra
- SQL basics
- AWS knowledge and experience
